Turkey's LPG imports increase by 18.05% in September

- Turkey's LPG production rises by 3.22 percent to 86.8 thousand tons in September, according to Energy Watchdog

Turkey's liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) imports increased by 18.05 percent to 346.1 thousand tons in September compared to the same month last year, according to a report by Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) released on Friday.

Imports to Turkey came from several different countries in September including Algeria, U.S., Norway, Kazakhstan, Russia, Greece, France, Ukraine, and Saint Kitts and Nevis.

Turkey's LPG production also increased by 3.22 percent to 86.8 thousand tons in September, compared to the same month of 2016.

In addition, the country's LPG exports increased by 76.83 percent to 14.8 thousand tons in September. Among the countries that imported the highest LPG volumes from Turkey were Bulgaria, Switzerland, Romania, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Singapore, Turkey's free trade zones, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and Tunisia.

Total sales of LPG hit 378.7 thousand tons including 299.5 thousand tons of autogas, 70.7 thousand tons of bottled LPG and 8.4 thousand tons of bulk LPG.
