Türkiye's energy import bill decreased by 3.1% to $5.68 billion in March, compared to the same month in 2025, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute on Thursday.
The country's energy import bill totaled $5.86 billion last March.
The data shows that the overall import bill for the month, including energy and other items, totaled $33.11 billion.
At $5.68 billion, energy accounted for 17.1% of the overall import figures in Türkiye in March.
Crude oil imports saw an 11.8% increase to 2.79 million tons in March, compared to 2.50 million tons in March 2025.
