Türkiye's daily power consumption up 1% on March 17

- Electricity exports amount to 13,135 megawatt-hours and imports total 3,348 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 1% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 972,583 megawatt-hours, according to official figures from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,267 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), TEIAS data showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 35,007 megawatt-hours at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 982,781 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of about 1.2% compared to the previous day.

Electricity generation from dam-based hydropower plants accounted for around 26.5% of total production, while imported coal and solar plants contributed 15.2% and 13.4%, respectively.

On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 13,135 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 3,348 megawatt-hours.
