Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 6% on Saturday compared to the previous day, totaling 986,471 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 46,947 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 33,739 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 997,720 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a fall of 5.9% compared to Friday.
Electricity production from wind plants accounted for around 24.8% of total generation, while imported coal and natural gas plants contributed 21.4% and 17.2%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports totaled 12,926 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 1,677 megawatt-hours.
