Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 0.22% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 911,935 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 43,437 megawatt-hours at 15.00 local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 30,135 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 903,946 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a decrease of 0.16% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 22.6% of total generation, while hydro power plants and imported coal plants contributed 17.6% and 15.5%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 7,285 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 15,274 megawatt-hours.
