Turkish state pipeline operator names new dept. heads

- Decision made on 14 out of 20 senior management appointments during board meeting of Turkish Petroleum Pipeline Corporation

Turkish Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAS) appointed new heads of seven departments and one regional directorate at its executive board meeting on Friday.

BOTAS officials also confirmed that the state pipeline operator also assigned six alternate directors as acting principal directors following the board’s decision. 

Fourteen out of a total of 20 appointments were confirmed at Friday's board meeting including head of departments and regional directors. 

Of the eight new senior managers, Mithat Aydin was appointed as the head of Natural Gas Purchase and Export Department, Arif Ataman was appointed head of the International Projects Department, Dilaver Ozturk will lead the Information Technology Department, Necati Evren will head up the Studies and Projects Department. Head of Human Resources and Training Department will now be led by Serdar Kacir, Zulfu Yildirim will take the role of head of the Strategy Development Department and Arslan Gunaydin will act as the head of the Health, Security, Environment and Quality Department. Mehmet Tecimen will take up his appointment as the Oil Utilities Regional Director.

The six alternate directors appointed as acting principal directors include Aziz Murat Cakir, the head of the Natural Gas Wholesale Department, Omerul Faruk Durmus, the head of the Supply and Contracts Department, Fahri Kandaz, the head of the Support Services Department, Huseyin Kiziltas, the head of the Financial Affairs Department, Fatih Sel, the head of the Construction and Expropriation Department and Yavuz Selim Gayretli, the head of the Inspection Board.
