Turkish Petroleum awards $15M contract to Schlumberger

- Schlumberger will coordinate multiple product lines and provide project management services for TP's drillship, Fatih

Turkish Petroleum (TP) awarded U.S.-based energy company Schlumberger an Integrated Services Management (ISM) contract for TP's drillship in the Mediterranean Sea, Schlumberger said in its latest financial report.

In line with the contract, Schlumberger will provide project management services on TP's ultra-deepwater drillship, Fatih, and coordinate multiple product lines.

'Turkish Petroleum awarded Schlumberger an ISM contract valued at $15 million to drill the deepwater well Alanya-1 in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea,' the company said.

Turkey's Energy and Natural Resources Minister Fatih Donmez said on Oct. 9 that the vessel Fatih would conduct its first operation by the end of the month in the Mediterranean Sea.
