Daily electricity consumption fell by 10.9% to 736,733 megawatt-hours on Sunday in Turkey, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 21.00 local time with 36,053 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest point of 26,257 megawatt-hours at 08.00.
Total electricity production reached 734,171 megawatt-hours on Sunday, with a 10.9% drop compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from imported coal plants totaling 192,493 megawatt-hours.
Lignite plants and natural gas plants followed with 140,324 megawatt-hours and 132,812 megawatt-hours, respectively.
Also on Sunday, Turkey’s electricity exports totaled 5,297 megawatt-hours while imports reached 7,859 megawatt-hours.
