Spot market electricity prices for Tuesday, Jan. 6

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 1.89 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Tuesday will be 3,400 Turkish liras between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m., and 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (between 0400-0600, 1300-1800 GMT), according to official figures released Monday.

The lowest rate was set at 2,000 Turkish liras at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for Monday's electricity market trade volume showed an increase of 5.57% to around 1.89 billion Turkish liras compared to Sunday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 2,960.06 Turkish liras and 2,970.65 Turkish liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt-hour for Monday was set at 3,400 Turkish liras between 8 a.m.-10 a.m., and 4 p.m.-9 p.m. local time (between 0500-0700 and 1300-1800 GMT), while the lowest was set at 1,495 Turkish liras at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 43.04 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100GMT) on Monday.
