Spot market electricity prices for Thursday, Dec. 25

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 2.12 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Thursday will be 3,400 Turkish liras between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. local time (0300-0800, 1100 and 1300-1500 GMT), according to official figures released on Wednesday.

The lowest rate was set at 2,442.33 liras at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for Thursday’s electricity market trade volume showed an increase of 1.4% to around 2.12 billion liras compared to Wednesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 3,126.61 liras and 3,161.17 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt-hour for Wednesday was set at ,400 Turkish liras between 6 a.m and 10 a.m., and between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (0300-0700, and 1300-1800 GMT), while the lowest was at 2,667.34 liras at 3 a.m and 5 a.m. local time (0000, 0200 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 42.85 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Wednesday.
