Russian steelmaker NLMK's third quarter steel output remained flat on a year-on-year basis at 4.4 million tonnes, the company said on Monday.
Nonetheless, NLMK said its third quarter consolidated steel sales grew by 4 percent compared to the same period last year.
'This growth was supported by the increase in long steel sales as previously accumulated stocks were being sold off,' the company explained.
NLMK is an international manufacturer of steel products.
According to the company, mining and steelmaking are concentrated in cost-efficient regions, and finished products are manufactured close to main customers in Russia, North America, and the EU.
