Rosneft, Fleet Energy mull joint gas supplies to Egypt

- Agreement seeks to explore possibilities of gas supplies to industrial consumers in Egypt by joint venture company

Russian Rosneft and Fleet Energy signed a framework cooperation agreement to explore the possibilities of developing a supply chain for gas supplies to Egypt, Rosneft said late on Saturday.

Rosneft said that the agreement secures the intention of the parties to explore the possibilities of establishing a joint venture in order to develop a supply chain for further gas supplies to industrial consumers in Egypt.

The agreement was signed by Didier Casimiro, Rosneft Vice President for refining, petrochemicals, commerce and logistics, and by Essam Kafafi, President of Fleet Energy Group, in the presence of Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin.

Fleet Energy has offices both in Moscow and in Cairo. The company is part of Fleet Holding, together with other companies: Fleet Tanking, Fleet Offshore Petroleum Services, Fleet Oil&Gas.
