Gazprom increased its natural gas production by 3.7 percent to 22.8 billion cubic meters in the period from Jan. 1 through Jan. 15, 2019 compared to the same period in 2018, the company said on Thursday.
Compared to the first half of January 2018, Gazprom's gas deliveries to Europe rose by 3.1 percent, reaching 8.6 billion cubic meters.
The company considerably boosted its gas supplies to Italy by 74.6 percent, to Austria by 42.6 percent, the Netherlands by 18 percent, Germany with 2.2 percent and France by 10 percent.
In addition, Gazprom expanded its exports to Romania by 28.8 percent, Bulgaria by 20 percent, Finland by 16.5 percent, Denmark by 17.9 percent and Greece by 6.6 percent.
The company's gas sales in the domestic market via the national gas transmission system added 8 percent.
