Baker Hughes wins long-term service deal from bp for Indonesia's Tangguh LNG plant

- Ninety-month deal covers spare parts, repair services and field engineering support for critical turbomachinery

Energy technology company Baker Hughes said on Tuesday it has secured a long-term service agreement with bp for the Tangguh liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant in Papua Barat, Indonesia, which plays a vital role in supplying safe and reliable energy to the Asia-Pacific region.

The 90-month deal covers spare parts, repair services and field engineering support for critical turbomachinery, including gas turbines, steam turbines and compressors across three LNG trains, the company said in a statement.

The deal extends Baker Hughes' partnership with bp at Tangguh, where the companies have worked together since 2009.

It also follows a 2024 award for additional power and compression systems under bp's Tangguh Ubadari, CCUS, Compression project (UCC) project.
