Norway's petroleum sales increase in September

- Country's total sales volume of petroleum products in September up year-on-year by 3.5% to 714 million liters

Norway's total sales of petroleum products raised to 714 million liters in September 2019, a 3.5% increase compared to the same month last year, according to Statistics Norway on Tuesday.

For gasoline sales, the statistics office said the volume decreased to 85 million liters - a year-on-year decline of 3 million liters.

Sales of diesel amounted to 247 million liters, an increase of 1 million liters compared to September last year. The country's sales of auto diesel - free of duty increased by around 8 million liters to 83 million liters in September compared to September 2018.

Data from the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, the Norwegian Petroleum Institute and oil companies provide data from which the statistics authority has produced monthly figures since 1973.
