Norway's total sales of petroleum products increased to 8.59 billion liters in 2018, a 0.5 percent increase compared to the previous year, according to Statistics Norway on Friday.
The statistics bureau said the volume of gasoline sales reached 1.08 billion liters - a year-on-year decrease of 66 million liters.
Sales of diesel amounted to 3.97 billion liters, an increase of 28 million liters compared to 2017.
Data from the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, the Norwegian Petroleum Institute and oil companies provide data from which the statistics authority has produced monthly statistical data since 1973.
