Iraq exported 103.98 million barrels of crude oil in April, down from 104.69 million in March, marking a fall of 0.67 percent, the country's oil ministry announced Wednesday.
In a statement published on its official website, the ministry said the revenues from last month's exports stood at nearly $7.1 billion based on preliminary figures released by the state-run oil marketing firm SOMO.
Ministry spokesman Assem Jihad said the total volume of crude oil exported from the oilfields in central and southern Iraq amounted to 100.6 million barrels, while the country exported 2.57 million barrels from Kirkuk, and 783,844 barrels from the Qayyarah field.
Jihad added that the daily rate of exports averaged 3.46 million barrels in April, with an average price per barrel of $67.41, up from $64.08 during the previous month.
The increase in oil prices made up for the fall in export volumes, leading to an almost 4.5 percent rise in revenue compared to the previous month's level of $6.7 billion.
Iraq is OPEC's second largest oil producer after Saudi Arabia.
