- Wind and solar tenders will be held separately on Oct. 1

Germany will launch wind and solar plant tenders on Oct. 1 this year, the German Federal Network Agency announced Wednesday.

According to the agency, the two separate tenders for onshore wind and for solar will be held on the same day.

The maximum bid for the onshore wind turbines is set at €0.63 per kilowatts-hour (kWh).

The tender, with a volume of 670,161 kilowatts, will be conducted in a reverse bid auction in which the lowest bid will be deemed the winner.

'In the grid development area, which covers substantial parts of Northern Germany, 311,271 kilowatts can be slammed in this round,' the agency stated.
