Turkish energy company ALP24 is expanding its footprint in Africa with new partnerships and projects aimed at boosting its market share across the continent, the company said in a statement on Friday.
The company’s strategy mirrors Türkiye’s wider energy policy, which now balances domestic supply security with efforts to expand international energy and mining partnerships.
Positioning itself as part of this global vision, ALP24 has launched projects in Namibia, Botswana and Zambia, establishing itself as a stakeholder not only in energy and natural resources but also in Africa’s development agenda.
- Namibia as a strategic hub
In Namibia, ALP24 is advancing oil and gas exploration while also developing a fuel storage facility designed to strengthen regional energy infrastructure.
The project, the company said, has the potential to turn Namibia into a distribution hub for Southern Africa.
The company is also pursuing multinational partnerships to support infrastructure development, workforce training and regional energy integration, aiming to make long-term contributions to the country’s growth.
- Mining and energy in Botswana and Zambia
In Botswana, ALP24 is developing ventures around the nation’s diamond and coal reserves.
The focus, the company said, is not only on extraction but also on advancing processing technologies to ensure greater local value creation. The coal initiatives are also intended to reduce Botswana’s reliance on imported energy.
Meanwhile in Zambia, the company is investing in copper and cobalt projects, which are critical resources for electric vehicle technologies and global energy transition.
The company said these efforts reflect its commitment to addressing both current and future energy needs.
The projects are also designed to generate social benefits through technology transfer, environmental sustainability and local job creation.
- Development-focused model
Turkish companies, once focused largely on the domestic market, are increasingly building international alliances and contributing to global transitions. According to ALP24, its operations in Africa reflect Türkiye’s evolving role in global energy and resources.
The company emphasized that its model goes beyond resource development to include partnerships with local NGOs and governments in areas such as women’s employment, environmental awareness, technical education and infrastructure improvements.
By combining energy ventures with community-focused initiatives, ALP24 said it aims to represent Türkiye’s global vision while supporting Africa’s long-term development.
