Russia and Saudi Arabia remain committed to the goals of the OPEC+ agreement of maintaining market stability and balancing supply and demand in global oil markets, the Russian government said in a statement Friday.
The statement came after Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak met Saudi Arabia's Energy Minister Abdulaziz bin Salman to discuss bilateral cooperation within the OPEC+ agreement, which is scheduled to convene next week to determine their output regime for September.
The bilateral commercial and economic ties were on the agenda of the meeting.
“Russia and Saudi Arabia remain firmly committed to the goals of the OPEC+ agreement which aims to maintain market stability and balance supply and demand in global oil markets,” the statement read.
