Türkiye's energy import bill decreased by 10.9% to $6.06 billion in December, compared to the same month in 2024, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute on Friday.
The country's energy import bill totaled $6.8 billion last December.
The data shows that the overall import bill for the month, including energy and other items, totaled $35.67 billion.
At $6.06 billion, energy accounted for 17% of the overall import figures in Türkiye in December.
Crude oil imports saw an 18.8% increase to 2.87 million tons in December, compared to 2.41 million tons in December 2024.
