Türkiye's daily power consumption up 4.6% on Feb. 10

- Electricity exports amount to 14,136 megawatt-hours and imports total 6,158 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 4.6% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,031,527 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Wednesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 49,500 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 33,129 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 1,039,775 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of 4.6% compared to Monday.

Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for around 22.6% of total generation, while hydroelectricity and natural gas plants contributed 18.3% and 16.7%, respectively.

On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 14,136 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 6,158 megawatt-hours.
