Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 4.50% on Monday compared to the previous day, totaling 699,758 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 33,432 megawatt-hours at 10.00 p.m. local time (1900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 22,999 megawatt-hours at 07.00 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 691,363 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking an increase of 4.59% compared to Sunday.
Electricity production from hydro power plants constituted 20.8% of total generation, while imported coal plants and wind plants contributed 16% and 15.4%, respectively.
On Monday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 8,919 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 17,314 megawatt-hours.
