Türkiye's daily power consumption up 4.1% on Nov. 11

- Electricity exports amount to 8,074 megawatt-hours and imports total 5,008 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased around 4.1% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 926,082 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Wednesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,369 megawatt-hours at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 30,933 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 929,150 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of 4% compared to Monday.

Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for around 25.7% of total generation, while imported coal and lignite plants contributed 24.7% and 12.9%, respectively.

On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 8,074 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 5,008 megawatt-hours.
