Daily electricity consumption in Turkiye increased by 4.1% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 957,803 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 46,897 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,559 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 960,024 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of 4.7% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 24.1% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants contributed 20% and lignite plants comprised 15%.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 12,025 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 9,804 megawatt-hours.
