Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased around 3.7% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 915,175 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 43,945 megawatt-hours at 7 p.m. local time (1600 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 30,985 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 922,338 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, increasing about 3.7% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for around 30.2% of total generation, while imported coal and geothermal plants contributed 25.8% and 10.9%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 7,476 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 318 megawatt-hours.
