Türkiye's daily power consumption up 3.55% on March 22

- Electricity exports amount to 12,730 megawatt-hours and imports total 3,359 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 3.55% on Sunday compared to the previous day, totaling 730,830 megawatt-hours, according to official figures from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 34,430 megawatt-hours at 9 p.m. local time (1900 GMT), TEIAS data showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 25,586 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0500 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 740,180 megawatt-hours on Sunday, marking a rise of about 2.7% compared to the previous day.

Electricity generation from dam-based hydropower plants accounted for around 28% of total production, while wind plants and lignite coal contributed 19.4% and 13.3%, respectively.

On Sunday, the country's electricity exports totaled 12,730 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 3,359 megawatt-hours.
