Türkiye's daily power consumption up 3.4% on Nov. 25

- Electricity exports amount to 8,310 megawatt-hours and imports total 386 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased around 3.4% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 959,537 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Wednesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 46,416 megawatt-hours at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,917 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 967,518 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of 3.6% compared to Monday.

Electricity production from natural gas accounted for around 29.7% of total generation, while imported coal and hydro power plants contributed 25% and 10.9%, respectively.

On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 8,310 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 386 megawatt-hours.
