Turkiye's daily power consumption up 2.95% on May 10

- Electricity exports amount to 8,893 megawatt-hours and imports total 11,553 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Turkiye increased by 2.95% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 853,807 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 40,291 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 28,553 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time (0400 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 851,147 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking an increase of 2.74% compared to Monday.

Electricity production from hydropower plants constituted 22.4% of total generation, while natural gas and run-of-the-river plants contributed 15.8% and 12.9%, respectively.

On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 8,893 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 11,553 megawatt-hours.
