Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 2.6% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,081,449 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 51,470 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 34,891 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,081,091 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a rise of about 2.8% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for 22.6% of total generation, while imported coal and solar energy plants contributed 21.3% and 13.2%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports totaled 14,360 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 14,712 megawatt-hours.
