Daily electricity consumption in Turkiye increased by 2.32% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 939,513 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,870 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,278 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 936,400 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking an increase of 2.14% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 21.5% of total electricity consumption, wind plants contributed 18.7% and imported coal plants comprised 18.2%.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 13,066 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 16,178 megawatt-hours.
