Türkiye's daily power consumption up 2.3% on Sept. 26

- Electricity exports amount to 4,887 megawatt-hours and imports total 16,848 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 2.3% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 956,101 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 45,322 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.

The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,586 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 944,142 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking an increase of 2.4% compared to Monday.

Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 24.2% of total generation, while natural gas and wind plants contributed 21.5% and 14.1%, respectively.

On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 4,887 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 16,848 megawatt-hours.
