Türkiye's daily power consumption up 2.2% on Sept. 30

- Electricity exports amount to 7,247 megawatt-hours and imports total 10,179 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased around 2.2% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 936,882 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,248 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,619 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 933,958 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of about 2.2% compared to Monday.

Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for around 25.7% of total generation, while imported coal and lignite plants contributed 25.3% and 13.3%, respectively.

On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 7,247 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 10,179 megawatt-hours.
