Türkiye's daily power consumption up 2% on July 24

- Electricity exports amount to 15,045 megawatt-hours and imports total 7,924 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 2% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,228,869 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 58,389 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 39,323 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 1,236,009 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a rise of about %2 compared to Wednesday.

Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for 28.2% of total generation, while imported coal and wind plants contributed 19.5% and 12.3%, respectively.

On Thursday, the country's electricity exports totaled 15,045 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 7,924 megawatt-hours.
