Turkiye's daily electricity consumption increased by 1.62% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 996,130 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 48,409 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,460 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 995,628 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a 1.81% increase compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 27.7% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants contributed 19.6% while wind plants comprised 15.1%.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 11,920 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 13,362 megawatt-hours.
