Türkiye's daily power consumption up 16% on June 10

- Electricity exports amount to 6,347 megawatt-hours and imports total 13,026 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 16% on Monday compared to the previous day, totaling 995,930 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 50,298 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.

The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 30,221 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 989,298 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking an increase of 16.1% compared to Sunday.

Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 19.7% of total generation, while lignite plants and natural gas plants contributed 19.2% and 18%, respectively.

On Monday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 6,347 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 13,026 megawatt-hours.
