Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 1.6% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,026,222 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 48,379 megawatt-hours at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 33,835 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,037,002 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of 1.5% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for around 23.1% of total generation, while imported coal and wind energy plants contributed 22.8% and 21.6%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 12,690 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 1,910 megawatt-hours.
