Türkiye's daily power consumption up 1.55% on Nov. 18

- Electricity exports amount to 8,321 megawatt-hours and imports total 2,501 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased around 1.55% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 943,511 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Wednesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,893 megawatt-hours at 7 p.m. local time (1600 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,983 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 949,336 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of 1.53% compared to Monday.

Electricity production from imported coal accounted for around 23.2% of total generation, while wind plants and natural gas plants contributed 20% and 15.5%, respectively.

On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 8,321 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 2,501 megawatt-hours.
