Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 1.5% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,204,972 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 57,394 megawatt-hours at 5 p.m. local time (1400 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 38,924 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,211,574 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a rise of about %1.6 compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for 29.5% of total generation, while imported coal and hydroelectric plants contributed 19.5% and 16.2%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 15,496 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 8,903 megawatt-hours.
