Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 1.5% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,054,06 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 49,086 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 35,783 megawatt-hours at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,054,064 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking an increase of 1.6% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from hydroelectric plants accounted for around 24.9% of total generation, while imported coal and wind plants contributed 19.1% and 16.9%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports totaled 8,673 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 5,327 megawatt-hours.
