Türkiye's daily power consumption up 1.5% on August 12

Electricity exports totaled 21,020 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 5,712 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 1.5% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,185,608 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 55,493 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 39,474 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 1,200,916 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking rise of about %1.6 compared to Monday.

Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for 23.2% of total generation, while imported coal and wind plants contributed 19.8% and 16.9%, respectively.

On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 21,020 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 5,712 megawatt-hours.
