Türkiye's daily power consumption up 12.7% on August 11

- Electricity exports totaled 19,140 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 5,853 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 12.7% on Monday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,168,314 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 55,764 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 37,160 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 1,181,601 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking a rise of about 12.1% compared to Sunday.

Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for 24.6% of total generation, while imported coal and wind plants contributed 20.4% and 15.9%, respectively.
