Türkiye's daily power consumption up 12.3 % on July 14

- Electricity exports amount to 15,343 megawatt-hours and imports total 4,090 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 12.3% on Monday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,093,442 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 52,274 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 34,687 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 1,104,700 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking an increase of about 12.4% compared to Sunday.

Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for 21.5% of total generation, while natural gas and wind energy plants contributed 16.7% and 16.3%, respectively.

On Monday, the country's electricity exports totaled 15,343 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 4,090 megawatt-hours.
