Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 1.1% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,005,259 megawatt-hours, according to official figures from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 46,391 megawatt-hours at 11 a.m. local time (0800 GMT), TEIAS data showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 35,362 megawatt-hours at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,011,846 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a rise of about 1.14% compared to the previous day.
Electricity generation from dam-based hydropower plants accounted for around 23.6% of total production, while imported coal and solar plants contributed 17.7% and 14.7%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports totaled 11,276 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 4,552 megawatt-hours.
