Türkiye's daily power consumption up 10.4% on March 16

- Electricity exports amount to 11,671 megawatt-hours and imports total 3,348 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 10.4% on Monday compared to the previous day, totaling 962,719 megawatt-hours, according to official figures from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 45,033 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), TEIAS data showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 32,698 megawatt-hours at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 971,266 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking a rise of about 10.3% compared to the previous day.

Electricity generation from dam-based hydropower plants accounted for around 26.8% of total production, while imported coal and natural gas plants contributed 17.1% and 10.8%, respectively.

On Monday, the country's electricity exports totaled 11,671 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 3,348 megawatt-hours.
