Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased around 1% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,035,188 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 48,384 megawatt-hours at 8 p.m. local time (1700 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 35,079 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,029,597 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a rise of about 1.2% compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for around 27.3% of total generation, while imported coal plants and solar plants contributed 21.9% and 12.9%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 6,714 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 12,345 megawatt-hours.
