Türkiye's daily power consumption up 0.74% on June 27

- Electricity exports amount to 14,347 megawatt-hours and imports total 10,993 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 0.74% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,089,510 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 51,920 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 35,215 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 1,092,870 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a rise of about 1.08% compared to Thursday.

Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for 21.2% of total generation, while natural gas plants and wind energy plants contributed 20.8% and 14.1%, respectively.

On Friday, the country's electricity exports totaled 14,347 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 10,993 megawatt-hours.
