Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased around 0.7% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 948,021 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 45,376 megawatt-hours at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,118 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 955,246 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a rise of 0.7% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from imported coal accounted for around 23.8% of total generation, while wind and natural gas contributed 18% and 16.1%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports totaled 7,266 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 1,334 megawatt-hours.
