Türkiye's daily power consumption up 0.69% on Nov. 6

- Electricity exports amount to 8,074 megawatt-hours and imports total 4,477 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased around 0.69% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 922,378 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Friday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,381 megawatt-hours at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 30,949 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 925,988 megawatt-hours on Thursday, increasing about 0.62% compared to Wednesday

Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for around 25.9% of total generation, while natural gas and wind contributed 24.1% and 14%, respectively.

On Thursday, the country's electricity exports totaled 8,074 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 4,477 megawatt-hours.
