Türkiye's daily power consumption up 0.65% on Nov.2

- Electricity exports amount to 4,735 megawatt-hours and imports total 27,845 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased 0.65% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 833,077 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.

TEIAS data showed that hourly power consumption peaked at 39,289 megawatt-hours at 7 p.m. local time (1600 GMT) and the country's electricity consumption fell to 28,268 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 809,967 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking an increase of 0.87% compared to Tuesday.

Imported coal plants contributed 29.14% of total generation, while natural gas plants and lignite power plants contributed 21.69% and 13.81%, respectively.

On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 4,735 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 27,845 megawatt-hours.
